With exports accounting for 30% of all orders at Dakri Cartons, the corrugated cardboard specialist has a solid process in place to keep orders flowing, and customers glowing. Discover the 8 main steps for every export order followed at Dakri Cartons to ensure conformity, compliance, quality and great customer experience.

- Developing the product
The experienced sales team takes note of the clients’ needs and helps them tailor their packaging accordingly. Clients can also send over the technical specifications and samples if they already have the perfect fit! Based on this information, a quote is issued. Once approved by the client, it’s off to the next step. - Sending the samples
For clients looking for design solutions, samples are created and sent via DHL for approval (including colour draw down for printed boxes). The client is then free to try out and test the boxes before production is launched. - Validating the order
Clients may validate the sample as-is, or request a change in dimensions. Once the number of boxes and dimensions are determined by the customer, a shipping software calculates how the order fits into a 20-foot or 40-foot container. The proforma invoice is then prepared, based on these quantities and sent to the client for validation. - Processing the order
Once the proforma invoice is validated, the team proceeds with the order of dies (for die-cut boxes) and printing plates (for printed boxes). Once the dies are ready, they are quality-checked and tested before being used for production.

- Booking the container
In the meantime, the team books the container and shipping date based on the requested delivery date. Dakri Cartons takes care of all the administrative tasks and liaison with the freight forwarder for a smooth shipment. - Starting production
The order is processed following the leading corrugated cardboard producer’s quality checks and requirements. While the order is under production, the container is brought on site for imminent loading straight after the last quality check. The team also ascertains the good condition of the container to protect the merchandise before accepting it at the container park.

- Loading the container
Boxes are loaded as per the shipping system’s plan to ensure that all the boxes fit the container. It is then sent to the Port for shipping. - Sending the order
The client is notified that the container has been loaded and sent to the Port. The freight forwarder contacts them once the shipment has reached its destination. The dedicated sales team ensures a proper follow-up of the order and is available if any assistance is needed for customs clearance.
Dakri Cartons spares no detail to ensure a smooth customer experience, efficient operations and timely order thanks to its experience and professional personnel.
