This enthusiastic professional is essential to the operations of Dakri Cartons. Indeed, the department he supervises is the ultimate step through which we fulfil our promise of delivering innovative, quality packaging. He tells us more about his career and present role at Dakri Cartons.
Raj Krishna Luckhun entered the company in 2008 as a Delivery Helper. His hard work and great ideas allowed him to stand out in what was then a developing department with three delivery trucks. His willingness to learn and deliver were, later on, rewarded with a promotion as assistant supervisor of the department. “I couldn’t help but notice the sheer volume of work growing as the company itself grew. “How can we perform better with the equipment and human resources we already have?”, I asked myself. That’s when I suggested giving bonuses for exceptional performances in the department. It turns out this incentive was a tremendous source of motivation for our colleagues to outperform. This idea probably also contributed to my promotion to my current position as Delivery Supervisor”, he says.
Apart from overseeing the department, the Delivery Supervisor is also responsible for routing 10 to 17 deliveries a day. His resources now include six delivery trucks and a team of 16 people. “With the help of the Assistant Supervisor, we need to evaluate the delivery quotas and find the most efficient itineraries for our clients to receive their orders on time. An important part of the job is also to carefully inspect the packaging of the orders, especially for export orders, as our clients need to receive every component in ideal condition.”, he insists.
Indeed, the ordinary function of delivery is, nonetheless, a crucial one. As the ultimate step of Dakri Cartons’ work, this client-facing function is the ultimate step of fulfilling any order. “Courtesy, respect and excellence are key values that every member of the team has fully integrated as part of their job. They know that, as soon as they step out of the truck in their uniforms, they represent the company we know and love. They feel the responsibility to live up to this image for the company they serve, and which serves them back. In that sense, we all feel like we’re part of the Dakri Cartons family!”, the Delivery Supervisor explains.
